Employment Law
We represent both employers and employees in a wide range of employment litigation involving wage and hour disputes, theft of trade secrets, wrongful termination, and harassment and discrimination. We appear before state and federal courts as well as the Labor Commissioner and other federal and state agencies.
We provide legal counseling to employers in the implementation of procedures to avoid employment related claims. These services include drafting and revising of employee handbooks, developing workplace policies and procedures, protecting trade secrets and confidential information, maintaining personnel files, appropriately administering employee discipline, and advising on proper procedures for terminating employees.
Estate Planning
Our estate planning attorneys, who include State Bar of California certified estate planning and taxation specialists, focus on planning the management and disposition of our clients’ estates. We regularly assist nonprofits with legal compliance, including reinstatement of tax-exempt status once revoked and curing delinquencies with the Office of the Attorney General and other governmental agencies. We also assist with sales tax law compliance and the filing requirements for property tax exemption.

Pension and Employee Benefits
Our firm has one of the most prominent pension and employee benefits practices on the Central Coast. We offer design and counseling services concerning employee benefit plans and have significant experience in ERISA matters for both small and large businesses. In addition, we have counseled numerous non-profit organizations concerning the special employee benefit rules applicable to them.
