Virginia E. Howard joined Horan Lloyd in 2016.

Ms. Howard has practiced as a business and real estate transaction attorney in Monterey County for over 25 years. She has extensive experience in both commercial and residential real estate transactions, mergers and acquisitions, entity formation, and general corporate, partnership and limited liability company law. She also practices in the area of nonprofit formation and legal compliance and provides continuing legal education and board training in this practice area.

Prior to moving to the Monterey area, Ms. Howard was an associate with Graham & James (now DLA Piper) in its Sacramento office where she practiced in the area of start-up company law and venture capital finance, and a an associate in the Tax department of McDermott Will & Emery in Chicago.

Ms. Howard is a former professor of the Monterey College of Law where she taught Business Organizations and Start-Up Companies. She has served on the board of directors of Girls, Inc. of the Central Coast, Give Me Hope, Inc., and Old Monterey Foundation.  She is a former President of Monterey County Women Lawyers and a board member of the Monterey County Bar Association.
